Election day is rapidly approaching, and many are wondering if Julian Assange’s scheduled announcement this week will include an October Surprise that has the potential to damage Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.

Assange was originally planning to make a highly anticipated announcement from the balcony of the Ecuadorian Embassy in London tomorrow, but has cancelled that event due to “security concerns.” Instead, the announcement will take place via video which will air at a Berlin press conference.

One can’t blame Assange for being a bit spooked: Today, WikiLeaks Tweeted an alleged quote from a 2010 State Department meeting at which then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton asked if Assange could be killed in a drone strike. That same year, former Democrat strategist Bob Beckel said on Fox News Channel that “a dead man can’t leak stuff.”

On July 12, DNC staffer Seth Rich was murdered while walking home at 4 am. Robbery was initially suspected, but Rich still had his wallet and watch when police arrived on the scene. The murder – one of five tied to the Clintons in a six week period – came in the midst of the massive email leak scandal that involved Wikileaks, Hillary Clinton, and the Democratic National Committee (DNC).

In an interview with Nieuwsurr on August 10, Assange said that his organization was investigating Rich’s death. Although Assange wouldn’t directly say that Rich was the source of the DNC leak, he implied that Rich’s murder may have been a politically-motivated assassination.

And, on August 21, someone was caught trying to scale a wall at the Ecuadorian embassy in London, where Assange has been living under political asylum for the last few years.

Clinton isn’t the only politician who wants Assange silenced:

We already know that Obama, Clinton, Sanders, and Trump have all said they would prosecute Assange. Clinton, to get more specific, wants him extradited from Ecuador, prosecuted for espionage, and his WikiLeaks removed from the Internet. Her desire to charge him with espionage is only a little ironic considering the Clinton Foundation’s Pay-to-Play system arguably warrants an espionage indictment, as does Clinton’s storing of Special Access Program intelligence on an unencrypted private server.

In August, Assange said that another WikiLeaks dump was coming, and that it would include enough information to lead to Clinton’s arrest.

In this August 24 interview with Megyn Kelly, Assange said he believed the new data dump on Clinton would be “significant” if it caught on in the media.
