You were born to be a healer. We are all healers by birthright. There is no rulebook on healing. We are simply created to heal ourselves.

In order to appreciate that inherent quality, we have to see ourselves as part of nature. Nature is self-sustaining and self-healing, It is self-regenerating. That’s what we are.

To be a healer means to be all of our aspects, both physical and non-physical, to appreciate that we are body, mind, soul, and spirit, and to align those aspects. To align means to:  1) treat the body as a temple of the soul, 2) to say what we mean and mean what we say, 3) to listen to your body’s language, 3) to express, not suppress symptoms because symptoms show you what you already suppress, and 4) to feed and balance all your needs; physical, emotional, spiritual.

True medicine is to work in all our layers, as Body-Mind- Spirit medicine. We need to remind ourselves that we are an expression of a greater Source or Universal Life Force called Spirit that creates the body. To be powerful creators is to see beyond the mirror. Therefore, we cannot solely focus on physical traits, when the body is an end product.

The creative process means we are always adjusting to the elements in our environment, and those elements are not only physical but also metaphysical. They are not only people, places and things, but thoughts, feelings, and beliefs. As energy, we are always giving and receiving parts of our unseen selves to maintain balance and that manifests as our physical interactions and physical balance. So we need to go deeper than the surface. If we’re out of balance physically, then we are out of balance emotionally.

Many ancient cultures believe that thought forms give rise to material forms. For instance, Hindu philosophy states that matter comes from thought. This ancient belief originates long before Bruce Lipton, PhD, wrote his book The Biology of Belief.  But Bruce Lipton is a renaissance man, here to rebirth this idea and remind us of our inheritance. We are all here to remember and partake in the knowledge that the Field (described as the aura or chakra system) brings about healing in the physical body. The Chinese call this energy Chi. Others call this Life Force, prana (breath of life) or kundalini.

Energy healers such as shamans can see or feel this vibrational energy as light and can move it. They free up the body’s healing energy to flow. When this happens, Spirit reconnects with Source and energy is released. There is a breakthrough.  Based on their cultural traditions, shamans traditionally work with their hands or with objects like a rattle, or by sucking. They see where there is a lack or an excess of energy or illness and move the energy. But since most of us are not raised in shamanic practices we have the opportunity to choose and create the way we work with healing energy and the best way that works for each of us. How Shamanism works is to empower the person to heal herself/himself.
