I implore you to debunk me to tell me that these years all weren’t proceeded by “bumper crops” followed by a vicious winter devestating livestock and wild animals. That it wasn’t followed by horrible diseases and famines for the populations. That those who farmed couldn’t sow due to soggy land and barely reaped even but chaffe from there wheat after constant damp growing seasons. That salt used to cure meats was barely attainable due to the dampness and moisture  in the atmosphere worldwide during these seasons (some examples of salt pricing make mention of the price rising 40-100 times in the “bumper” year prior) you can go back as far as you want to look just Google the 16th or 17th century in question and look for all the stories histories of cities or even googlebooks that mention “floods” or “winters” or “harvests”  in these years. 217 Rome is cool if you make it that far back.
