(Before It's News)

A man from Plummer, Idaho, entered a guilty plea in federal court for stealing guns from local retailer Bargain Barn, according to an announcement by the Justice Department.

Kyle Eugene Goddard, 28, of Plummer, Idaho, pleaded guilty to theft of firearms from a licensed dealer’s inventory and possession of stolen firearms.

At the hearing on Nov. 16, Goddard admitted that he stole two pistols — a Taurus 709 Slim 9mm and a Springfield Armory XD 40 — from Bargain Barn on July 24, the Justice Department said.

According to the case docket, Goddard was indicted by a federal grand jury in Coeur d’Alene on Aug. 16, but a judge ordered the indictment to be sealed from public view.

Under federal law, stealing firearm from a licensed dealer’s inventory is punishable by up to 10 years in prison, a maximum fine of $250,000, and up to 3 years of supervised release.
