The day after Thanksgiving signals the start of the Christmas gift shopping season. The name supposedly refers to profits that put retailers’ accounts ‘in the black.’ On the downside, many shoppers wanting early access to popular products sometimes literally fight each other for the privilege – sometimes to the death.
Three suspects have been arrested after a shooting at the Wolfchase Galleria mall in Memphis, Tennessee, police said. Multiple vehicles were hit by gunfire, and one person was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Witnesses told WHBQ-TV that “at least 40 shots were fired.”
It’s almost like people still aren’t convinced the zombie apocalypse is in “progress”. I wonder how they rationalize their heartlessness?
Very depressing to say the least. I’m glad to say that I have NEVER in my 49 years participated in “Black Friday”.
It gets increasingly worse with every year. Black Friday shopping is a fool’s errand; the best deals don’t even happen then anyway, and are certainly not worth getting bludgeoned to death over. Good grief.
And god, anyone exposing their children to this madness should be arrested for child endangerment.
Yeah, but what do you in modern society? I mean, I’m instinctively driven to have children but yet, considering society, I’ve chosen to not be burdened or burden with the procreation. I guess, destruction is my thing.
I don’t have any children either, and don’t plan on it for the same reason.
Perhaps they should consider giving the shoppers machetes upon entering the stores….it would solve a lot.
Isn’t it strange how the most considerate happen to be the most frightening?
I have faith, even as a mostly agnostic with rather strict pagan tendencies.
Music, nature, alcohol, weed, women, actual respect of children, that sort of shit.
But I don’t have faith in society. What does it mean to be a “man” in modern society? I’m no fucking man. I’m even proud of it, as pathetic as that may be. Horns and shit.
