With time in hand and tears well dry
A smile glistens brightly on seabed sky
It crosses gender, time and space
Fulfilling greatest thoughts of grace
Thanking you and him and her
The time of giving bids anew
A bird sits brownly mid table gleaming
And beckons mouthly dribble steaming
Corn on cob and peas so green
Butter melting on turkey sheen
Peals of laughter children play
Festive tidings on winter’s sleigh
We all give thanks this tasty day
To God and neighbor who will say
Thank you friend for this last year
And may abundance come so dear
Never ever feel so blue
All you wish for will come true
Our human side spawns our Thanksgiving
Our spirit light is always living
May God Bless for all you are
