John Calhoun did a mice experiment in 1958 which ended up producing what he called, The Beautiful Ones, a class of effeminate males who stopped reproducing, causing the extinction of the group. The experiment took place decades before Prince wrote the song about the beautiful ones ‘smashing the picture’. And, the song released decades before 9/11. Yet, we see the eerie 9/11 reflecting pool that seems to represent the picture the beautiful ones smashed in the experiment, on 9/11 and in Prince’s life. He would die on the 111th day of the year, the reflective date of 9/11 which had 111 days remaining in the year!
You can even see the water bottles used in Calhoun’s experiment lining the inner rim of the cube just like the water pouring into the 9/11 reflecting pool! (above)
See the video below for more clues about how all this fits together like a perfectly crafted puzzle.
