Sacramento Cop Arrested After Found with Hard Drugs and Duty Weapon
Isaac Knutila a 16 year veteran with the Sacramento Police was arrested after a separate department tipped off the Sacramento PD to alleged prostitution and drug activity in a local hotel.
An investigation revealed that Knutila was in possession of multiple narcotics and his department issued weapon. The drugs collected at the scene included methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin and over an ounce of marijuana.
Knutila was also involved in prostitution related activity. While it is unclear exactly what Knutila was doing with the hookers, whether he was a client or their “pimp” has not been disclosed.
Knutila was booked into the main Sacramento jail Friday night but was released on a $10,000 bond. Knutila is currently on paid administrative leave pending termination.
Is there another profession where you can break the law for months and expect the tax payers to foot the bill for your salary while you are investigated? Seriously, think about that fact for a minute. A costumed crusader for the state is allowed paid vacation while being investigated, while the rest of us rot in cages.

The part of this incident that is so sad is, an officer of the law would happily drag you to a cage for the same behavior decides he is above the law and drug use, as well as, human trafficking were actions that he can participate in without recourse.
Sadly police all over are subject to their own separate officer bill of rights which protects them, if and when they commit a crime, break their oath or act in a manner unbecoming of an officer of the law. Combined with police unions who lobby for more protection when one of the members of the thin blue line gang is caught in criminal activity, it’s nearly impossible to remove these bad apple cops which in turn leads to the whole institution becoming corrupt.
We should be less surprised by behavior being perpetrated by officers in our law enforcement institutions. They maintain a monopoly on the service of protection/initiation of force and have been long exempt from the criminality of their actions. After all the system only functions if its employees are not able to be held legally responsible for their actions.
As such it only makes sense that the members of such an institution would gradually grow more corrupt until they attempt to control all criminal rackets such as, drugs and prostitution, while systematically imprisoning others who threaten their enterprises.
