As I wrote on June 4th of 2016 ~ Adolf Hitler and Donald Trump both have been spawned from the same swamp of political apathy, establishment resentment and political oppression and both share the same ego driven fascist arrogance, sense of entitlement and aversion to empathy ~ which unfortunately mirrors the mindset of a growing percentage of America’s electorate. One the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor , December 7, 1941 ~ The Day of Infamy , I was six years old and had no idea of the historic events that were unfolding globally around me except word of mouth conversation and propaganda laced newsreels at the local theater.
On Monday night, Democracy Now! celebrated its 20th anniversary at the historic Riverside Church in New York City. Among those who addressed more than 2,000 attendants was world-renowned linguistic Noam Chomsky, who spoke about the two most dangerous threats the human species faces today: the possibility of nuclear war and the accelerating destruction of human-fueled climate change.

Personal freedom, including freedom of expression, freedom of the press, freedom to organize and freedom of assembly, will be abolished. Privacy will be formally eradicated. Another reason Donald Trump’s win this year was no surprise ~ many of the winners have been tyrants and among the most hated leaders of their time.
Since I consider myself a citizen of the world ~ neo-fascism is not just a growing American problem ~ It’s an already well established global problem and it’s not going away soon.

Once again, the true test of a person’s character is not how they handle adversity but how well do they handle power and that question will most certainly be answered in President Trumps first 90 days of 2017~ and his cabinet selections are an ominous indicator of where we are going.
