The Conservative Tribune reports, The South China Sea and its islands have been a source of controversy in the Pacific, and recently released satellite images indicated that tensions may be further heightened. The satellite data, released by Asia Maritime Transparency Initiative, reportedly showed that China had installed weapons systems on all seven artificial islands it has built in the contested waters, according to CNN.
