The technologically advanced future will have a lot less jobs for people.
It isn’t even that there won’t be any more cashiers… there won’t even be the kind of self-scanning self-checkouts found today in many stores either.
In the checkout lanes of the not-too-distant future like the one below designed by Panasonic and currently being rolled out in Japanese supermarkets, a robot aisle will scan all of your items in your computerized basket, then bag them for you, and process your payment in one quick exchange.
Watch:
Then again, let’s get real. If Amazon gets its pantry service in full swing and finds a way to add produce to the mix, someday we won’t even need to leave our homes to buy everything we need.

There are a lot of proud, hardworking people who will be relegated to going on welfare to save a few pennies, because of this. I hate to see these people turned in to welfare bums.
Could be worse….here in the U.S. many of the underpaid cashiers that check you out at MalWart, ARE just like robots. Raised from child hood in a culture going sour….
MalWart even changed it’s logo to a six pointed star, all it’s registers now have large six pointed star logos with the slogan, “Think Six” displayed to each person who grabs their grocery bags to leave the store….

Good Journeys
Disgusting….I always refuse to use self check out lanes. Have told store clerks trying to direct me into a self check out…if I have to do the work then discount my ticket 10%. I remember the good old days….do mean “GOOD”…. When carry out boys were there to bag your groceries, push the cart to your car and transfer all your bags into your car. Many boys worked their way thru college just from the tips…!!! Now to find someone to help you might incur a 20 minute wait.
This also applied to gas stations of old….. When you got gas they checked the radiator, the oil, tire pressure, cleaned all your windows, pumped your gas, took your payment, returned the change….you never left your car. I remember 25 cent per gallon gas wars…. Oh, those were the days. Young people today have no clue to the extent our rotten government has, like a frog in hot water, little by little destroyed businesses and taken control of every nook and cranny. Making all of us a slave unto ourselves.
