AZ: Man Shoots Pit Bull that Attacks his Dog, No Charges

Deputies were called to a home in the 16000 block of South Delgado Road, east of Sahuarita, around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. They found the pit bull had left its property, gone to a neighbor’s property and attacked a blue heeler, Lt. Jeff Palmer said.
The pit bull was biting the other dog’s head and neck when the blue heeler’s owner tried to separate the two and was bitten, Palmer said. Believing his dog was dying, the blue heeler’s owner then killed the pit bull, he said.
