Creation Stories – Judeo-Christian
At the beginning of time, God created the heavens and the earth. All around was darkness. On the first day, God created light to separate day from night. On the second day, God created the heavens. On the third day, God created the earth. Dry land appeared, and was a separated from the ocean. God filled the earth with plants and trees and vegetation. On the fourth day, God put lights in the heavens to help separate day from night, and to differentiate the seasons from each other. The sun was placed to keep us warm, while the moon provided light at night. He added the stars. On the fifth day, God created the creatures of the air and land and sea. Birds flew, fish swam, and animals wander the earth feeding on the vegetation. God ordered them to be fruitful and multiply. On the sixth day, God made man in His own image. He gave man dominion over all creatures of the earth, the air, and the sea. First He created Adam, the first man, then Eve, the first woman. He ordered them to be fruitful and multiply.
