Dangerously High Levels of Round-Up Found in Many Processed Foods

Monsanto have been garnering unwanted media attention because of the fact that their weedkiller Round-Up that contains glyphosate is being found in lots of their foods – and it is being found in MASSIVE amounts.
A FDA-registered food safety lab tested a range of different foods and the pesticide was found to be present in some foods up to 1,000 times more than what is considered the safe amount.
Health implications start to occur when just 0.01 ppb of glyphosate is ingested by humans, but a thousand times more than this was found in certain foods.
Monsanto have tried to say that ingesting this pesticide will not harm your health, but there are lots of reason to believe that this is not the case. Independent studies have linked glyphosate to cancer, and the World Health Organisation has deemed it as a ‘probably human carcinogen’. It has been linked to reproductive problems, obesity, diabetes, and is thought to be an endocine disruptor.
The chemical is found to be so widespread that it is even being found in foods that are labelled as ‘organic’.
The results published in this report are from the first independent glyphosate residue testing of popular American food products performed using liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS), the regulatory recognized “gold standard” testing methods at an FDA registered laboratory.
These newest findings also come as the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) postponed hearings last month, which were due to explore glyphosate’s link to cancer in humans. Last year, 17 leading global cancer experts from the World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) sparked a firestorm when they classified glyphosate as a class 2A “probable human carcinogen”.

The chemical was found in many common brands like Ritz crackers, Cheerios, Kellogs, Oreo’s. How many people do you know that eat these brands every day? They could be consuming harmful amounts of pesticide that is designed to kill insects, not be in your food!
Monsanto makes billions of pounds every year through the sale of plyphosate based products, and it’s Roundup is the market leader of pesticides. Of course they don;t want any press that will damage their monopoly of the industry. The less the people know, the more they can get away with.
