Trinidad State Junior College in Colorado posted details of a great project gun done by one of their students who turned a bolt-action big bore into a work of functional art.

The platform itself is an East Ridge Gun Co. State Arms .50BMG Shorty bolt-action rifle with an immense pop can-shaped muzzle brake. While ERGC makes good guns, this one has been reworked just a tad, you could say.

“Take a look at this amazing piece of workmanship by one of our students who just finished the program last week,” noted the school. “Justin Kamal wants to be a custom builder and this is really his job application. It’s a 50 cal with English walnut stock, carved and checkered with silver wire inlay.”
