NRA commentator Dana Loesch and gun control activist Shannon Watts took aim at one another in a Twitter feud Monday.

NRA-TV posted a video of Loesch on Saturday, and on Monday morning, Watts took to Twitter to mock the contents of that video, sparking a response from Loesch, as well as the people pulling the strings for NRA-TV’s Twitter handle.

“I’m a mom, and just like millions of other women, that’s why I own guns,” said Loesch in the video posted Saturday. “If a mom puts a gun to the face of a home invading thug, and makes him run for his life, the story gets buried. But if she’s unarmed, and murdered, the cameras will be at the scene before the police.”

On Monday morning, Watts, the founder of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, took to Twitter to mock Loesch. “I’m a mom. And just like millions of other women, I dress head-to-toe in black leather and live to shoot ‘thugs’ in the head,” wrote Watts, adding a hashtag for the weekend’s women’s march.

Just 26 minutes later, Loesch fired back. “Yikes. Shannon Watts is a very jealous and insecure chick. Sorry not sorry you’re so easily triggered,” she wrote.

“I love how gun-control advocacy has devolved into obsessing over and attacking my looks. I hold the power by living rent-free in your head,” wrote Loesch a minute later.

NRA-TV also weighed in.

“Please share proof that I cheered Madonna’s threat to blowup the White House… I’ll wait,” wrote Watts, responding to NRA-TV’s tweet. An hour later, she said she was still waiting.

Earlier this month, NRA-TV host Grant Stinchfield called Watts a puppet before inviting her on his show.

“Ms. Watts, you are a (Michael) Bloomberg-funded PR puppet,” said Stinchfield. “Instead of throwing a tantrum, which gains you no respect, come on my show. Defend your lies. Defend them. I don’t think you will.”

  • Shannon must have been duped by the SandyHoax, unless she was a part of it.
