Italy: Vicenza Residents Protest Against US Army Base

Hundreds of people turned out to protest against the “Dal Molin” US Army Base in Vicenza on Saturday.

One protester, Stefania Garabella, a member of the citizen’s movement ‘No Dal Molin’ said that not only was the protests against “the militarisation, against the US bases in Vicenza” but it was also “against the overbuilding in our city”, adding, “they are spoiling our city with big buildings.”
