Remington Arms highlighted an economically price polymer handgun called the Remington RP9 at SHOT Show in Las Vegas. Guns.com got a peak at a nifty new gun after doors opened Tuesday.
The Remington RP9 is a full-sized 9mm handgun with a capacity of 18+1 rounds in the double-stack magazine. With a 4.5-inch barrel, the overall length is 7.91 inches and weighs in a 26.4 ounces unloaded.
The pistol features an ergonomic grip that has an undercut under the trigger guard for a higher grip. For sights, the RP9 uses basic three-dot sights, but they’re adjustable and utilize a “fighting surface,” meaning a user can press it agains an edge to rack the slide. Last but not least, the stainless slide is coated with a durable PVD finish.
The overall all look and feel is similar to the Springfield XD pistol, but retails for less at $489. Remington reps say the RP9 is already in stores.
