12-year-old boy arrested on murder, robbery charges (VIDEO)

A 12-year-old boy was arrested for the shooting death of a Fouke, Arkansas, convenience store clerk early Thursday morning but prosecutors say the boy will not be charged as an adult.
The boy, whose name has been withheld because of his age, was charged with capital murder and aggravated robbery. He is currently being held at the Miller County Juvenile Detention Center.
Police say the clerk, 21-year-old Christa Shockley, was found by a newspaper carrier just after 2 a.m. Shockley was unresponsive and later pronounced dead.
Authorities recovered the gun believed to be used in the crime, as well as clothes believed to be worn by the suspect. Those items led police to the suspect, who was taken into custody several hours after the shooting.
As a precautionary measure, the boy’s school was contacted and deputies were sent to the school to ensure the safety of students and staff, Chief Deputy Michael McQuerrey said.
Sources close to the investigation told reporters the boy has autism.
