  • California’s inland sea

After the Oroville Dam Disaster of 2017 came the crashing wave down the Feather River, which led to the Sacramento disaster. The wave overtook the Delta area and surrounding canal system of the entire Sacramento area. The sudden addition of 3.5 million acre-feet of water from the Oroville Dam carved new channels in the Sacramento Delta leading to a new channel into the sunken areas of the Sacramento Valley. The Sacramento Valley has now become an inland water way connected to the Sacramento Delta and the Bay of San Francisco. Loss of life is immeasurable.
