SCRAPS says the man saw his neighbor’s pit bull running loose, and was bit in the leg when he went to contact the dog’s owner.
The man says he shot the dog after he went to back up and was bit a second time.
Police told SCRAPS that the man who shot the dog had a license to carry, and have determined that the man acted appropriately in the situation.

In the dog show, well dressed, well-fed, white people call it a Staffrordhsire terrier, once bred for a constructive purpose. There is still a country hamlet, where people can see old castles.
This dog gained a criminal reputation, in the same way as Chinese pigtails, laundry poles, and Mexican, herbal remedies. If you used too much fabric in a (zoot) suit, or drank a coke, you were associating yourself with dangerous, ethnic minorities.
The same authorities, which disturb the public, have to ask whether the man had a natural right to defend himself –
“the man who shot the dog had a license to carry”
Otherwise, it would have been illegal, to save himself from the carnivorous animal.
And, it takes them a day, to euthanize an animal, with irreparable brain damage.
“shot a pit bull in the head Wednesday…euthanized on Thursday.”
Why not just finish the job, on the second try; you’ve already shot it, once.
