Anti-Trump Bush stumps for ant-Trump Flake

Bush fatigue is a chronic malady afflicting many Republicans, reaching epidemic proportions in the border state of Arizona where the illegal invasion is not a back burner issue. After the presidencies of Poppy (Bush 41)  and Dubya  (Bush 43), brother Jeb, the establishment pick, who had no chance of winning the 2016 presidential primary, spent a staggering $150 million before he withdrew.

Donald Trump was elected as an anti-establishment populist, who responded to the concerns of average Americans. In his short time in office, he has made excellent cabinet appointments, nominated an originalist  to the U.S. Supreme Court, is keeping jobs in America, working to repeal and replace Obamacare, and build a border wall. According to this morning’s Rasmussen Presidential Tracking poll, 80% of Republicans agree with the job he’s doing.

Arizona’s two U.S. Senators, John McCain and Jeff Flake were vocal opponents of candidate Trump. McCain withdrew his momentary support after Trump was the Republican nominee. Flake never gave an endorsement, opting instead to make the rounds of broadcast networks telling interviewers he would not only not endorse Trump — he would also not vote for him. McCain took the same approach and has continued to be a leading antagonist.

Flake, reported by AZ’s Channel 3  to be the most unpopular senator in the nation, faces the voters in 2018. His arrogance is only exceeded by his lack of trustworthiness. Even the daily newspaper which has forgiven him his politically expedient transgressions, had to acknowledge he’s in trouble.

Under the circumstances and with an election around the corner, it would seem reasonable that Jeff Flake would go to the mat finding someone who could bring voters to his shaky campaign. But the closed-to-the-public exclusive dinner soiree April 11, at a Paradise Valley mansion headlines George W. Bush — another Republicrat who refused to vote for President Trump.

Great strategy, Jeff.  We hope you keep it up. We support principled conservative  Dr. Kelli Ward.
