(Before It's News)

Taking an awkward stab at affability, Jeff Flake recently sent out this tweet referencing the upcoming hearings for Supreme Court nominee, federal appellate judge Neil Gorsuch. Most of Flake’s followers don’t appear to be fans, which makes sense when you’re ranked as the least popular U.S. Senator in the nation. Slippery and self-serving, he’s equally distrusted by Democrats and Republicans.

Don’t be taken in by Flake’s weather-related cordiality toward President Trump’s high court nominee.  When Flake‘s basketball and traveling chum Barack Obama nominated Democrat Merrick Garland to fill the vacancy created by the unexpected death of conservative icon Antonin Scalia, Flake was eager to promote hearings. He was also willing to presume Hillary Clinton would be elected president.

Remember Flake’s comment regarding Republican nominee Donald Trump as he made the rounds of the liberal network programs to bash Trump? Flake’s refusal to endorse Donald Trump was followed by his repeated declaration that he would not vote for Trump. In fact, he haughtily declared Trump can’t and shouldn’t win.

Flake, configuring himself as a soothsayer, prophet, and presidential diviner was quoted in October 2016, by Politico:

“I said if we were in a position like we were in in (not a typo) ‘96 and we pretty much knew the outcome, that we ought to move forward. But I think we passed that awhile ago.”  Jeff Flake concluded his wishful thinking with these words, “If Hillary Clinton is president-elect then we should move forward with hearings in the lame duck. That’s what I’m encouraging my colleagues to do.”

Regardless of how Flake, his political operatives and lobbyist PACs attempt to reconfigure his image prior to the 2018 election cycle, remember that he was  an enthusiastic supporter of having a lame duck session rife including Democrats who were not reelected, rush through another Democrat on the current U.S. Supreme Court, dramatically altering the balance in favor of the left for years to come.

To deflect his  from this contemptible position, Flake has raised the issue of Arizona withdrawing from the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. This southern adage addresses his deceit best: “That dog don‘t hunt.”
