Purim Outreach
We, Messiah of Israel Ministries, went to share the love of Yeshua on Purim day. There were many people, secular and religious, celebrating the Purim victory. People were in the streets singing, dancing, and wearing costumes.
As Messianic Rabbi Zev Porat began sharing God’s love and eternal plan for man through Yeshua, he was also celebrating and dancing with many.
“To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law.”
(1 Corinthians 9:20)
Messianic Rabbi Zev Porat preaching the Word to David
Praise Yeshua! Many wonderful conversations and doors were opened. Glory to the King Yeshua!
As Zev noticed an Orthodox Jewish man named Eleazar asking people to rejoice in our victory, he said to Eleazar: “Yes, let’s all rejoice in the wonderful victory of our Lord, the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob. But let our rejoicing not be only in Purim, let our rejoicing be eternal.” Eleazar did not exactly know how to grasp this and asked Zev what he meant. Zev then explained with compassion and love, we rejoice because of the Lord’s victory and to Him be all the glory, but there will be a day when those who do not follow the Written Word of God in repentance will not rejoice forever with the Lord. The time is near and God has shown us all through His Written Word in the Bible. Eleazar asked Zev where it says about this time. Zev opened the Bible and read with Eleazar: Joel 2:28-32 –
28And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.
29 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.
30 I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and billows of smoke.
31 The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.
32 And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the Lord has said, even among the survivors whom the Lord calls.
Eleazar reading the Word
As we rejoice and dance today, the Lord is calling us to dance and rejoice forever. He has sent us the only way of salvation through His Son the Messiah, who has come and is coming again. Eleazar did not say a word, he just listened. Others were also there. Praise the Lord! The Holy Spirit was there.
Zev then read Daniel 7:13 -
In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence.
Eleazar then with a very low voice told Zev: “I know who you are talking about but I’m shocked because you read Tanach (Old Testimony).”
Eleazar then just left without one word.
Join us in prayer for Eleazar as he reads the Bible at home and the Holy Spirit opens his eyes to the Truth available ONLY through Yeshua the Messiah.
Zev continued to rejoice with many and shared God’s wonderful eternal Love.
