(Before It's News)

Unanimously confirmed to serve on the U.S. Court of Appeals by the Senate in 2006

Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) is among the Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee who have turned the U.S. Supreme Court confirmation hearings into a side-show. Imagine 10th Circuit Court of Appeals judge Neil Gorsuch, a man of acknowledged integrity having to endure being grilled by Blumenthal, who is best known for lying about serving in Vietnam. His 2010 admission came cloaked in defiance as he said,  “On a few occasions I have misspoken about my service, and I regret that and I take full responsibility, But I will not allow anyone to take a few misplaced words and impugn my record of service to our country.”

Could there be a more outstanding example of Demo Speak?

Not only does Blumental, a former elected Attorney General, want Judge Gorsuch to repudiate the president who nominated him, he virtually needs to swear a blood oath against him and his progeny in perpetuity.

John McCain and Jeff Flake’s go-to Democrat, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, playing to his fellow left wingers, has vowed to fight Gorsuch and said he has a “strong presumption against” the nominee. Schumer is the man who has actually called forchaosin order to get his way. Liberals are still smarting over Obama’s failed recess appointment of Merrick Garland to the high court.

But as conservative commentator Katie Pavlich reminds us, when Neil Gorsuch was nominated to serve on the U.S. Court of Appeals by President George W. Bush in 2006, he was confirmed unanimously 95-0 in the Senate. Chuck Schumer, along with Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Joe Biden and a number of other Democrats in the Senate, voted in approval.

Stay vigilant. Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake, a pseudo Republican member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, met with Democrat Merrick Garland, Obama’s Supreme Court recess appointment and actually opined that it was time to start thinking about confirming him.

Remember that colossal betrayal as Flake, who repeatedly declared he would not vote for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, attempts to reconfigures himself as a conservative in advance of his 2018 reelection. Don’t be conned.
