Strike Industries has re-engineered their J-Comp muzzle device for AK rifles, upgrading the design to now include increased muzzle rise compensation.

The J-Comp 2 is a mesh between a muzzle brake and compensator, featuring two muzzle brake chambers. The design boasts better geometry than its predecessor which results in increased muzzle rise compensation.

The J-Comp 2.0 can be used for traditional AKs chambered in 7.62x39mm as well as more flavorful calibers such as a .308/7.62x51mm and 5.56×45/.223.

Compatible with Oppressor and FerFrans concussion reduction devices, the J-Comp 2 measures 2.55-inches in length with a weight of 3.6 ounces. The compensator ships with a crush washer, but also comes with a notch at its base for alignment with most AKs.

With origins steeped in the Type 89 Japanese assault rifle used by Japanese Special Forces, the J-Comp 2.0 builds on the Type 89 design, bringing it to an entirely new audience.

Strike Industries’ J-Comp 2 is available through their website with a MSRP of $39.95.
