“Today the news is awful,” Mogherini said in an interview with media organizations in Brussels on the sidelines of a EU-UN conference that was meant to focus on the post-conflict situation in Syria.
“But this is a dramatic reminder that the situation on the ground continues to be dramatic in many parts of Syria,” Mogherini said.
“Obviously there is a primary responsibility there of the regime because it has responsibility of protecting its people not attacking its people.”
Following the attack, France called an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council.
French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault described the attack as “monstrous” and added: “I have called for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council.”
Ayrault said “chemical weapons” had been used in the attack and that it was “more proof of the savagery that the Syrian people have been subjected to for so many years.”
The attack in the town of Khan Sheikhun left dozens struggling to breathe and displaying symptoms such as foaming at the mouth and vomiting and fainting, the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
A hospital in the town where doctors were treating victims of the attack was also bombarded, an AFP correspondent said.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in a phone call that the chemical weapons attack was “inhuman” and could endanger peace talks based in the Kazakh capital.
“President Erdogan said that this kind of inhuman attack was unacceptable and warned it risked wasting all the efforts within the framework of the Astana process” to bring peace to Syria, presidential sources said.

Why would I believe the EU en the US suddenly talking about inhumane behaviour. Both have not a single reason to be in Syria other than rotten oilmoney and power. And since when are the EU and the US worried that people die? The US killed millions of people in Irak and other countries where they should not have been. And why would Assad, who is very popular with his own people and who fights for his country with everything he has, kill his own people? I have more faith in Assad than in any other party.
And Jesus? Well, he has other things to do than to spend on US people who aer spoilt to death. At this moment he is busy full time with the children who are being poisoned.
This shouldn’t be surprising.

Others have said it, but I will say it too. Why should I believe this report. Assad was accused of using chemical weapons a few years ago, and it turned out to be US backed terrorist. He was accused of having “precursors” to chemical weapons, and it was fluoride, just like we dump in our drinking water. We don’t know if the pictures were staged, when they were taken, or anything else. It is just words. Personally, I say let Assad, and Putin take care of Syria.
When will stupid Americans learn not to believe every lie fed to them.
This was the Syrian Airforce who shot the bejesus out of an ISIS warehouse full of chemical weaponry that from there was also transported into Iraq.
At least the Syrian Airforce knows how to hit where it hurts. Unlike the Americans who willfully bomb civilians to help ISIS.

It was not actually Sarin, or everyone would be dead, the White helmets, the relatives, the cameraman, dogs the medics and the doctors. It is persistent and the silly propaganda makers are showing literally hands on touching of alleged victims with people carrying them out without protective gear. SAD
