STI unveiled the Holographic Optic Slide Top pistol in both its 1911 and 2011 models, offering optics and suppressor shooters a better option for their mounted gear.
Available in 9mm, .45 ACP or 10mm, the H.O.S.T. pistol is affixed with tall tritium suppressor sights constructed to co-witness with mounted optics, giving shooters better visibility of the sights and target over the suppressor. Additionally, the gun comes with a cover plate and adapter plates for Leupold Delta Point, Vortex Viper and Trijicon RMR sights, while the top of the slide is milled out to accept a micro red-dot optic.
The H.O.S.T. is finished in a black DLC coating built to withstand tough weather conditions and general wear and tear from holster carrying. The pistol is available in the 1911 and 2011 models, with either a 5-inch or 4.15-inch barrel. Both barrels have a small classic cut designed for suppressor use, ditching the need for an extended adapter. The advantage of this construction is that the gun features a long dust cover paired with a shorter overall length.
The 1911 models retail for $2,599 while the 2011 model is slightly more with a price point at $3,199.
