Trump: ‘I Now Have Responsibility’ for Crisis in Syria (Video)
President Donald Trump, during a Wednesday news conference with Jordanian King Adullah II, condemned the recent chemical weapons attack in Syria, saying it was now his responsibility to deal with the ongoing crisis in the war-torn country.
“Yesterday’s chemical attack, a chemical attack that was so horrific in Syria against innocent people, including women, small children and even beautiful little babies, their deaths were an affront to humanity,” Trump said from the White House Rose Garden.
“These heinous actions by the Assad regime cannot be tolerated,” Trump continued. “The United States stands with our allies across the globe to condemn this horrific attack and all other horrific attacks, for that matter.”
Trump then answered questions on the attack, and said it was now his administration’s responsibility to deal with the atrocities in Syria, attempting to clarify a statement issued yesterday that blamed former President Barack Obama for not doing more about the crisis.
“I now have responsibility, and I will have that responsibility and carry it very proudly,” Trump said. “It is now my responsibility.”
While Trump accepted responsibility, he still maintained the Obama administration could have done much more to intervene, saying, “it was a great opportunity missed.”
Leaders around the world condemned the attack Tuesday that reportedly killed numerous civilians in the northern Syrian province of Idlib, including many women and children, CNN reported.
Witnesses said toxic nerve agents and possibly other banned chemicals spread after planes bombed the area, causing people to writhe in pain and foam at the mouth. Humanitarian groups said as many as 100 people had died from the attack.
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s military blamed the rebels for the attack and denied using any chemical weapons, while Russia claimed to have no warplanes in the area.

Assad destroyed all of his chemical weapons under UN inspectors in a deal arranged by Putin to prevent the planned US invasion of Syria after the proven false flag Sarin attack. America’s highest rated tech school, MIT, sent a team to Syria to investigate the gassings and concluded the shell containing the Sarin could only have been fired from terrorist controlled territory.
The Pentagon has been sending troops to Syria and Iraq since Trump took office and refuses to report to media the numbers of troops sent. Putin has warned against US troop buildup in Syria. The Russians are there by invitation by the Syrian government; the US is not. Some Russian and US troops are operating within grenade-throwing distance.
The probability of Assad gassing his own people is so remote that Trump’s endorsement of the absurd and unsubstantiated claims means he has been completely compromised by Deep State Neocons. Trump will now proceed to fulfill the campaign promises of Hillary Clinton. He will attempt to aust Assad and attack Iran, rather than fulfill his promises to end needless wars in the Middle East and normalize relations with Russia.

jdp…Therehave been some very crediable reports that it was not Syria but anti Syrian forces that shelled the gas. Trump should be very certain to know who before he strikes Syria I’m not defending Syria but wou want the real entity not some blamed by the MSM.

Assad did NOT do this. We know this is nothing but another repeat of the last time done by a CIA-ISIS operative. You must ask yourself, would a good leader gas his people……NO…..they would NOT.
