An inspirational and ambitious project to save cancer-ridden iconic Tasmanian devils is in the works and may serve as a model to save individuals of other endangered species. This project is a wonderful example of what people are doing in the emerging field called compassionate conservation. We owe it to the animals and future generations to save as many species as we can.
