Act 1 Entertainment, Inc. President Karl Reamer, who was recently honored with “The Waldo Award,” at this year’s annual “Fur Ball” for his tireless community spirit and dedication to the orphaned animals at Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue and Adoption Center, Inc., has reached out to the community seeking sponsors for his weight loss challenge in an effort to raise even more funds for Save-A-Pet.

Mr. Reamer is about halfway to his goal, with $4,570 in pledges from sponsors currently supporting his mission.  Even though he has worked diligently to help support and fund the work of Save-A-Pet, Mr. Reamer remained cognizant of how crucial such donations are to the shelter, its staff, and its rescued animals, and felt compelled to do more.

“Our partnership with Karl is a win-win for all those involved,” said Dori Scofield, Founder/President of Save-A-Pet.  “Karl’s weight loss challenge and its sponsors will be instrumental in the continued care of our rescued companion animals.”

You can sponsor Mr. Reamer for $1 a pound, for every 10, 25, or 50 pounds he loses.  Some major sponsors have chosen to pledge up to $10 a pound.  To support Mr. Reamer in his weight loss goal and help the orphaned animals of Save-A-Pet at the same time, please visit the following Facebook link:

Donations made through BD’s Weight Loss Challenge sponsorships are not due until the goal of 50 pounds is lost. Checks should be made out to “Save-A-Pet” and mailed to: Act 1 Entertainment, Inc., 28 Price Street, Patchogue, NY 11772.
