(Before It's News)

If you’re looking for advice on which Canon SLR camera setup to take birding with you, look no further than “Lessons From a Photo Big Day“. This article by Scott Whittle and Tom Stephenson relays what they learned about which gear worked best while running a photo big day. While you may have no desire to ever participate in a photo big day, you may still benefit from their recommendations. They needed gear that was not too big and that was easy to move around quickly with, as they piled in and out of the car and sprinted down trails, but they also needed equipment that yielded nice photos. That sounds like just what I want. Simply click here to read the article.

Free access to online issues of Birder’s Guide is one of the many services the ABA provides to the birding public. If you found this article useful, and you’re not already an ABA member, please consider joining. Besides joining with community of like-minded people to help to make resources such as this available, you’ll also get six issues of Birding each year.

Do you have advice to share regarding which camera setup works best for you when actively birding? Questions for the authors? Please leave them in the comment section, below.
