The 2017 issue of Birder’s Guide to Travel has just hit the printers. American Birding Association members should find it in their mailboxes in the next couple weeks. But you don’t have to wait until then to see what’s inside. You can see the entirety of this issue of Birder’s Guide right now. Simply click here. (Birder’s Guide is just one of the free resources that the ABA provides to the birding public.)
Looking for a new vacation destination? Articles on Puerto Rico, Algonquin Provincial Park, Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, and Patagonia are sure to whet your appetite. Our popular “20 Best Birds” series is back, this time highlighting such famous birds as “the” Nightingale and “the” Robin. Advice on how to prepare for a trip to the Neotropics will help you make the most of the experience. And as always, our Pelagic Directory brings up the rear.
No matter what your interests, or your time and ability to travel, I hope that you find something useful in this issue. If you didn’t, please let us know what you’d like to see next time. Be sure to tell us what you liked, too, so that we can start planning next year’s Birder’s Guide to Travel. And as always, we love to hear from folks who want to offer their own advice in the form of an article. Indeed, we depend on our members’ contributions to make future issues a reality. You can reach me at [email protected] or by leaving a comment below.
