I attended a Nancy Franke workshop last week and have fallen in love with these oil studies. This little girl was on the beach during one of our summer vacations and I kept an eye on her because each day she had on the cutest little outfits. Nancy said she loves painting children because they are so confident, they don't have the world telling them of their flaws yet and are truly enjoying life. She encouraged me to leave the painting loose and not to fill in all of the white space on the canvas. I would have to say she is my newest hero.
