Ms. Guyo by Brandon Hill i was humbled to take a portrait of Ms. Guyo. Even though we had a language barrier, I loved getting to know her and her infectious happiness. She and I are the same age. When I was young my biggest trial was trying to decide between Nintendo and Sega. At the same time, she was seeking a home that wasn’t made of mud and where bullets weren’t flying above her head. She’s an Ethiopian refugee who now lives in Seattle. Her middle-of-the-night musings contain a frequent refrain: “I thank God I am in America now.” Read her whole story here http://www.seattlemet.com/articles/2015/8/20/guyo-dreams-of-driving Brandon Hill: Photos
