(Before It's News)

Before I get into the daily energy for 1 – Cauac “cow-ack” or Storm, on the 5th of March all the planets appear to move forward from our vantage point on Earth except Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn, which appear to move retrograde or in reverse motion.  Mars turned retrograde on March 1st. During this report period Mars, representing drive and aggression, is in Libra. Mars is in its detriment in Libra because it is opposite Aries, the sign of Martian rulership, and is traditionally considered to have difficulty operating positively in Libra. Because of its retrograde cycle Mars will spend 8 months in the sign of the scales. Typically Mars spends two months in a sign so this placement for most of the year is uncomfortable and monotonous. Mars agitates and in Libra it’s about relationships and can lead to social anger. This may cause us to see an increase in passive aggression, which I personally despise. Mars is about drive and wanting to take action, but in Libra it’s likely to be the drive to make someone else take action. Mars has been in Libra for several months and I’ve already seen folks competing for love. They are willing to fight for a partner. People are becoming aggressive in their quest for romantic love. As much as Mars is unhappy in Libra, it’s also very unhappy retrograde. This is a really difficult time to access our drive and aggressive energy.

Jupiter was the king of the gods, and the planet is about good fortune, opportunities, faith, religion, beliefs and expansion. Cancer is about family, home, nurturing, and protection. Mostly what I find with Jupiter retrograde, as with any retrograde cycle there is a review of the past, and with Jupiter what gets reviewed are missed opportunities. In Cancer these are likely to be related to home and family. Jupiter turns direct on March 6th, taking time to build momentum to move forward in expanding the themes of Cancer such as security, home and family, which have been reviewed and revised during Jupiter’s retrograde since early November.

Saturn turned retrograde on March 2nd. Themes of Saturn in Scorpio are loss, depression, failure, fear, the shadow, betrayal, the stuff that goes deep. Superficial just won’t cut it with Saturn in Scorpio. Saturn retrograde is a task master that demands we take responsibility to review the scorpionic themes such as motives, ethics, and intensions. If we have not been clear on these subjects we are likely to feel our burden is heavier than the load we had previously chosen.

Ok let’s look at the daily vibrational energy for this trecena.  March 5th 2014 for 1 – Cauac “cow-ack” or Storm: unity experienced through recognizing the gifts in adversity, as Venus moves into Aquarius which brings a more intellectual and detached influence regarding love, romance, and socializing. The 6th is 2 – Ahau “ah-how” or Sun: duality experienced through honoring the wisdom and memory of our ancestors, as Jupiter turns direct, meaning that it begins moving forward from our perspective here on Earth, after appearing to move in reverse since early October. Retrogrades are times of reviewing and Jupiter is about opportunities, so this will be a shift from people looking back on missed opportunities as they move forward into a more expansive future. In Cancer this will begin a time of expansion related to family, home, nurturing, and protection. March 7th is 3 – Imix “e-meesh” or Crocodile: taking action through nurturing new beginnings. The 8th is 4 – Ik “eek” or Wind: stability through communication. March 9th is 5 – Akbal “awk-bol” or Night: empowerment through contemplating the stars. The 10th is 6 – Kan “con” or Seed or Lizard: being in the flow through planting seeds and making new connections. March 11th is 7 – Chicchan “chee-chan” or Serpent: reflection through being flexible, which brings the third of three Mercury square Saturn transits which favors heavy mental contemplating that requires disciplined thinking, a sharper mind and higher standards for quality. But it also brings difficulty in communicating and being understood by others. Not the best time for any type of negotiations, with folks misinterpreting each other, so I’d delay business dealings for a day or two. This is also a time when people are more likely to withdraw and feel lonely. The gift of this passage is it increases our ability to think practically, but we also see the imperfections and flaws. This can be very serious in its pursuit of betterment, make sure you’re honoring what is positive, so not to get overwhelmed by the many imperfections that are in view with this transit. We are very conscious of flaws, including our own, so we can use our critical eye to what should be changed to bring improvement. Older people may serve as teachers and mentors at this time. Just remember Saturn is in Scorpio, so make sure you’ve done your research before speaking with authority, otherwise you may find yourself receiving some sort of censure. The 12th is 8 – Cimi “key-mee” or Transformation: balance through releasing what no longer serves us.

March 13th is 9 – Manik “man-eek” or Deer: patience experienced through being of service to others, with the Sun trine Saturn which emphasizes great opportunities related to our environment and examining our lives and the structures we build upon. We may be reviewing habits, home situations, work, and anything else we consider important to find practical solutions. This transit is good for doing work that requires discipline and self control, from which there is the opportunity to derive great satisfaction from doing such work. It’s also good for overall organization and making plans to order your affairs and arrange them accordingly, due to this energetic being very thorough and meticulous, from which our efforts will achieve lasting results. You may want to undertake an intellectual discipline or technique that requires attention to detail and concentration during this time period. The 14th is 10 – Lamat “la-maught” or Star or Rabbit: manifestation through being grateful for abundant relationships, while we have the third of three Mercury trine Mars, which is good for mental work, with more energy than usual and the willingness to tackle difficult problems. People will be speaking their minds, not to get into fights, but to get their ideas out into the open. This transit brings confidence to express beliefs without fear of letting others know where you stand. This can also bring a certain boldness and innovativeness to plans made at this time. This might be a good day to be aware of others’ forceful opinions, and avoid having a conflict when voicing our own opinions. March 15th is 11 – Muluc “moo-luke” or Offering: resolution through appreciating creation.

The 16th is 12 – Oc “awk” or Dog: understanding through enjoying family and friends, while we have the Virgo Full Moon with the moon at 26 degrees Virgo, in harmony with Saturn, and opposed by the Sun. This is about finding balance between our surrender to spirit (Sun in Pisces) to be balanced with the practical aspects of living in the physical world (Moon in Virgo), with Saturn’s serious influence on people wanting to be alone in their thoughts and feelings with the possibility for realistic expectations through being calm and reflective. Virgo is about health, work and service and discernment, organization, and discrimination. March 17th is 13 – Chuen “shoe-in” or Monkey: movement to the next stage through creating something new, while Mercury moves into Pisces which brings our minds and communications into the realm of psychic revelations. Because Mercury turned retrograde on February 6th, it backed into Aquarius and now returns to the fishes to move through the sign for the rest of March and the beginning of April. While in Pisces it brings a time period with strong spiritual undercurrents and otherworldly realizations, but also great confusion. Look for world news and personal events involving water.
