The Gemini New Moon moves our mental faculties into a new gear. The fog of the past few weeks is not so much lifting as becoming more manageable. Confusion and snafus may still be part of the picture — the planet of illusion is still having its way — but thinking feels clearer and more resolved. What’s more, all eyes are on the future — and there’s no turning back.
Part of the comfort comes from the ruler of the Gemini New Moon, Mercury, being in his home sign. He’s traveling, for the time being, in a demanding aspect to Neptune that is tied to illusion — uncovering it, whipping it up and, in some instances, dispelling it. This formula can short-circuit rational thinking. Resorting to, and relying on, faith, hunches and guidance is the way to go.
Staying in confusion is not the point, though. Thoughts, messages and travels all have a “forward, ho!” vibe to them. All are sending definite feelers into the future, thanks to Mercury making an easy link to the North Node of destiny. That Node represents the direction into which we are heading, individually and collectively. Because the North Node is in Libra, the new direction affects our social contracts and notions of equality, in addition to our personal relationship definitions.
The turmoil of the first part of the year may still be around us, but we’re no longer so embroiled in it. We’re contemplating where we’re heading, instead of fixating on where we’ve been.
Excitement’s building for new horizons, too. Our hearts and relationships are on board, with love and money goddess Venus cooperating with both Mercury and the North Node. (Offers and paths that open up now are the way of the future; consider any carefully.)
