A few years back a haunting BBC documentary exposed a 5-decade scandal of baby trafficking by the
Catholic Church in Spain. An investigation revealed that up to 300, 000 babies of Spanish decent were
stolen from their parent and sold for adoption over a period of 50 years.
A top secret network of doctors, nurses, priests and nuns trafficked the babies in a widespread practice that began during the dictatorship epoch of General Franco and continued until the nineties.
