The Faroe Islands are situated in the North Atlantic at the halfway between Norway and Iceland. These islands are giving shelter to the population of more than 50000.The archipelago is composed of 18 islands covering 1399 km2 and is 113 km long and 75 km wide, roughly in the shape of an arrowhead.

These are the part of the Kingdom of Denmark which is rocky and treeless areas with some low peaks. It was inhabited by humans in 8th century. Fishing and maritime industry are the basis of economy. The beautiful and unique landscape with its meadow, cliff, and sea makes it the center of attraction for nature lovers and photographers.
