Pannoniasaurus Inexpectatus, First Mosasaur in Fresh Water

Paleontologists have discovered a new species of mosasaur (Pannoniasaurus Inexpectatus) who live in fresh water around 84 million years ago.

Discovery of mosasaur species named Pannoniasaurus Inexpectatus, second mosasaur specimen found in rocks were never buried at sea. Mosasaur is a large species of extinct reptiles are estimated to live in the ocean. According to a new study published in the Journal PLOS ONE, a new species of mosasaur Hungary is the first example of the environmental groups were found in freshwater rivers, similar to dolphins in freshwater.

In the modern world, scaly reptiles live in water is very scarce. Only a few species of life, even a little bit like the sea iguanas and sea Kraits which live in the ocean.

New species of mosasaur (Pannoniasaurus Inexpectatus) described may be adapted to freshwater environments like river dolphins (such as in the Amazon, Ganges, Yangtze).
