During our review of the Olympus SZ-14 camera, we discovered it was resolving details we had never seen a consumer level camera capture before. But when our reviewer, who has experience in microscopy told us it would probably have no problems photographing living cells from a distance, we were skeptical. When we finally got around to setting up a rather unconventional microscope slide, we discovered that it was indeed capable of clearly photographing living cells from up to five feet away.
