The idea of the universe as a ‘giant brain’ has been proposed by scientists – and science fiction writers – for decades.
But now physicists say there may be some evidence that it’s actually true. In a sense.
According to a study published in Nature’s Scientific Reports, the universe may be growing in the same way as a giant brain – with the electrical firing between brain cells ‘mirrored’ by the shape of expanding galaxies.
The results of a computer simulation suggest that “natural growth dynamics” – the way that systems evolve – are the same for different kinds of networks – whether its the internet, the human brain or the universe as a whole
I could believe this. Here is the really intriguing question… Whose brain? God? This could be where science and religion meet. Athiests would cry, religious folk would cry.. It would be the great deluge all over again. -Mort
So we are just tiny brains inside one big brain.
The original article says the universe is shaped LIKE a brain, not that it is one. It’s hardly ground breaking seeing as literally everything follows fibonacci patterns. Everything is a smaller version of bigger ones, ie a twig is a smaller version of a branch, a branch is a smaller version of a tree.
A walnut looks exactly like a brain as well, we all know it isn’t one.
I have been saying for the last umpteen years, that we all live
in a living entity. A giant brain if you will. When you see the
connections of the universe, it begins looks like a brain neuron.
At least in the computer simulation of how the universe evolved.
Like the bacteria that live in us(more bacteria then human cells),
we all live in a living universe. We are the disconnected pieces of
the universe, exploring itself through fractal holography .Infinite
diversity, expressed through infinite combinations.I have also
read about DMT trippers having talked about a machine elves
running a crystal computer, that supposedly is all that is and isn’t.
Probably one possibility, in a infinite amount possibilities, just saying.
