Seems we havent heard the last of the mysterious “booms”. While some have been identified, many are still a mystery.
People have claimed to be hearing loud booms all overnight and so far explained by none. The booms were heard not just In evansville but across the country. Ruling out an earthquake very earliy on, simply because it never registered. The USGS doesn’t have reports of any activity in the area. The Air Force says it wasn’t performing any military drills, either. Authorities say, at least for now, it will remain a mystery.
These strange explosion sounds have been happening all over the midwest. One event was noted on March 6, 2012 at around 4:30 pm CST, a chief meteorologist of ABC 33/40 in Birmingham, Alabama began to receive numerous complaints via twitter and facebook from people south of the Birmingham area about a loud noise that shook their houses. The meterologist claimed “The impulses look “non-seismic” and have the appearance of some sort of man-made explosions”.
But again still no explaination of what the actuall cause is.
