(N.Morgan) A 2 month old baby boy is covered with burns all over his body, due to, his parents claim, spontaneous combustion. The parents say the baby was excessively warm to the touch and has caught fire 4 times already, in his young life. Spontaneous Combustion is still somewhat of a mystery to the science and medical world, though they have a general idea of how it works, just not exactly the why.
Spontaneous Combustion is a term encompassing reported cases of the burning of a living (or very recently deceased) human body without an apparent external source of ignition. In addition to reported cases, examples of SHC appear in literature and both types have been observed to share common characteristics regarding circumstances and remains of the victim.
