(N.Morgan) A student set himself on fire in the school cafeteria, in Colorado. No other students were harmed, however, one teacher and one janitor were slightly burned, when trying to put the child out. What is going on with our children that they are driven to such dire extremes?
A student walked into a Denver suburb school cafeteria and set himself on fire leaving him severely burned on Monday. Students and teachers of Standley Lake High School in Westminster saw the 16-year-old student arrive at the cafeteria around 7:12 a.m. and suddenly lit himself. A teacher grabbed a fire extinguisher and another staffer put out the fire quickly, according to Westminster police spokeswoman Cheri Spottke. The victim, whose name is being withheld pending notification of his family, was taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.
