  • These soldiers that spent two years in the future proves the earth is flat.

  • BS, this cown would have to be almost 100 years old by now and senile as could be

  • Ah, a lovely fantasy – would have been nice if true…. The person that was “whisked” from the USS Eldridge in the 1940′s could have in NO way know some of the terminology he used when asking questions of the people in the 28th century. The terms he used or personal knowledge he quoted in his discussions were not in existence during the 40′s (from “when” he was). It would be a little more entertaining and even maybe believable had he been from current times. What a shame – for such a long, detailed interview, you would think there would have been care in editing. There was no mention at all about his reactions, culture shock, not even knowing how to explain any of this, no matter how much was taught him in the two years he was in that time period. – 6 thousand years in the future would be unexplainable – especially one from the 40′s – Geez, imagine if someone from the 40′s popped up now -today – with all our technology and how we use it for simple daily living, they would be quite lost and confused – and would have a difficult time comprehending all what we have if explained. I grew up in this era, embrace and am a total tech and science geek and I still have a hard time explaining how some things work. This was a wonderful idea for a story and it was ruined by the lack of amazement, fear – the whole gamut of emotions, and the use of current day terms he quoted as saying when he was in that time. Totally blew it a good fantasy story.
