They are slimy pulsating sacks clinging to crevices of a sewer. As light shines on the mysterious creature, it recoils in displeasure. Is it a new life form, or simply clever special effects? The identity of this fearsome sewer monster had captivated the Internet in 2009 after footage was posted on YouTube. Some even say it could be of extraterrestrial origin. While many experts have questioned the legitimacy of the film, a large construction firm in North Carolina has since confessed to taking the video.
Yes, those pulsating sacks are real, Malphrus Construction told MailOnline. ‘We were asked by our client to inspect the sewer lines, which were built in 1949,’ a spokeswoman said. ‘Because the sewers are so old there were many infrastructure issues. Malphrus was contracted by York Properties, the owner of the sewer lines, to do a routine inspection of the pipes earlier this year.
The sewer system is private, but it discharges into the public water system, in the U.S. town of Raleigh on the east coast.
One insider suggests that it might be a colony of worms. They can’t say what type of worms and can only speculate on how they would have got there, but blindly believe it to be true.
As with most extraordinary events it was brushed off with any actual investigation. This case as with most extraordinary ones was virtually ignored either out of pride or prejudice by the mainstream media. No further investigation was ever done and no confirmation as to what it really was has never been found. Not surprising when you think of the average television watchers average attention span is measured in seconds.
Another mobile camera with a collection arm should have been sent down to investigate further. It might have been worms, E.T, or hell even Mr.Hankey…but now we will never know.
