(Before It's News)

Since the 1940s, the U.S. Air Force has kept records of all of its investigations into extraterrestrial phenomena in one extensive report called Project Blue Book. This massive catalog of thousands of UFO and extraterrestrial reports from the 1940s to the 1970s has just been released online. The UFO enthusiast John Greenwald is the man responsible for bringing these UFO documents to the public. He’s spent the last decade collecting and digitizing the files through his web site The Black Vault. Greenewald believes these documents are only the “tip of the iceberg with what the military and U.S. government is hiding behind the UFO phenomenon, [though] they claim that this is it,” Greenewald says. But there are thousands of documents missing from the files including the infamous Roswell UFO incident.

Although we highly recommend you look through some of the files yourself, here are some of the cooler UFO case files we found.

UFO Sighting form the Belgian Village at the World’s Fair in Queens

UFO sighting over Omaha, Nebraskaa in 1965.

1964 Air force UFO sighting

UFO sighting over Eugene, in 1953.
