UFO  Crashes in Siberian Town, Government Calls it a ‘Gas Balloon Explosion’

Last week, an unidentified flying object crashed near the Siberian town of Chita. The Russian government stepped up and claimed the event was caused by “a gas balloon explosion.” Sound familiar?

Residents of the Ugdan village in southeastern Siberia were startled last Thursday by a loud explosion. “I heard an explosion and saw a huge pillar of black smoke around 11 or 12 a.m.,” Vladimir Milovanov told local news reporters.

There were no injuries but a nearby building was damaged. The unidentified falling object left a smoking crater in the field where it crashed. The size of the crater and the wreckage suggests the object measured about three feet in diameter.

The local police force arrived at the scene, collected the metal scraps and sent them away for testing.

The object could not be identified. It does not resemble anything. One of the theories is a gas balloon explosion,” said a spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

This event isn’t the first of its kind. In 2009, many residents witnessed a giant UFO traveling at high speed in the skies over Chita. At the time, the incident was widely reported in the Russian media.

Is there a connection between the 2009 sighting and the 2015 crash?
