Construction of „Peace Palace“ in Progress at Rendlesham, UK

An entire village in Rendlesham has been built according to the principles of the ancient architecture „Sthapatya Veda“ or „Vastu“. Honouring Maharishi Mahesh Yogi who had enlivened this Vedic approach to construction, it was called Maharishi Vastu.
Its proponents state: „The sun’s energy is most nourishing when it is rising. East facing buildings bring the greatest benefits to the health and success of their occupants.“
These buildings are designed „so that the differing activities that we perform within the various rooms of a home are aligned with the appropriate quality of the sun“ as it moves across the sky. Therefore placement of rooms is another important element of Maharishi Vastu architecture.
Other aspects are „right proportion“, natural and nontoxic materials and the usage of solar energy. Maharishi Vastu also takes into consideration other important influences, such as: slope of the land, shape of the land, unobstructed rising sun, influences in the environment, including water bodies, and auspicious timing.

Miraculous side effects are reported by owners of homes which are built according to the rules of Maharishi Vastu:
More than 100 homes in Ramona’s San Diego Country Estates subdivision were destroyed by a series of wildfires in Southern California in November 2003. Remarkably, the six Maharishi Vastu houses were not touched. A couple whose home was one of the six protected by the influence of Maharishi Vedic architecture reported:
„Our Maharishi Vastu home is perched on a high hilltop. The house just to the north of it was destroyed as well as a 7,000 square foot stone house just to the west. The shrubs outside the Vastu were burned, but not the fence or the house. The fire passed around inexplicably.“
Another series of wildfires raged in Southern California in October 2007. Nearly 750,000 acres were again scorched, and 3600 homes, and 1200 buildings were destroyed. Again, all the Maharishi Sthapatya Veda homes in Ramona, California were protected.
